Kids Wall Art

One of the things that have changed is how children are able to decorate their rooms.  When we were younger we basically had the choice of wallpaper or paint.  Today the children have additional choices of stickers, murals, and craft work if they want various designs.  The decorating of each individual room is the limit of the person's imagination and pocketbook.  There are several places that you will be able to find on-line or out in the community that will assist you in the coordination of items to match the theme of the room you are decorating.  Remember you are striving to achieve a specific look and decoration in the room for your child.

You can start with the walls, the ceiling, the furniture, the fixtures and curtains.  If your colors are bold then the brighter you make them the better and you are able to use stencils and paint to achieve any look to start you off.  One of the fun parts of the kid's wall decor is the fact that the child is able to work with you and help you pick out some of the items which get them excited and then they are involved with working with you to make it look right.  Some of the products available are washable so they are easy to keep clean.  This is important in a kid's room.  Some of the wall decor choices stick on and peel off making it convenient to change themes as they get older and grow out of the younger designs.

If you have never done this then you will find out how easy it is to do and before you know it you will be working on all the rooms in your home.  When you start out be working on a kid's wall with decorations then you find yourself using your imagination because we tend to go with bright and colorful items.  We want things to "pop" out at us when we first see them.  If you start with the walls then you can work on the other decorations because you will have your base in place.  Get some ideas and sit with your child to see what they may like and then pick a day and start.  Once you do, you will be surprised at how fast it comes together.
